On August 25, 2001, nine people boarded a Cessna 402 airplane at Marsh Harbor, Abaco Islands, The Bahamas.  The passengers consisted of singer Aaliyah and her entourage, all headed to Opalocka Airport, north of Miami. There were actually ten people in Aaliyah’s entourage. The tenth member, Ian Dahne, decided to stay behind to take another flight back to the States. He had a feeling about something.

The plane, which was later found to be overloaded with the performer’s equipment, lifted out over the runway and attained 200 feet of altitude…but no more. The badly-overweight aircraft went down and crashed not far from the runway and all nine aboard, including the singing star, were killed instantly. Ian Dahne, the man who stayed behind, then knew exactly what his feeling was all about.

Ian had experienced the same feeling before. As a child, he once dreamed about his healthy father, sat up in bed and said “my poor Daddy.” A year later, the family was mourning their own tragedy: the cancer death of Ian’s dad.

It seemed odd that, throughout his childhood, when the phone rang at his house, it might be a stranger on the other end asking about their future.  Ian knew the call was not for him, but for his mom, world-famous psychic Micki Dahne.

Once, the call came from a treasure hunter, who had asked Micki in the past for locations of sunken ships containing lots of loot. One of those times, Micki just couldn’t come up with an answer. Ian, overhearing the conversation, told his mom about a place he dreamed about near Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. He described, in detail, the location where the treasure hunter eventually sent divers who found an old galleon filled with gold and silver. Ian, now an adult has, through the years, provided multiple locations to the same treasure hunter. More often than not, those locations have turned up treasure for the treasure hunter (and a nice bonus for Ian).

In 1972, Ian successfully predicted the Miami Dolphins “perfect season.” Every week, every game a winner, and with Ian’s story getting picked up by the tabloids, the big fish of the gambling world began calling the house every week to get Ian’s pick on the week’s game. To this day, Ian’s picks, while not always as perfect as 1972, have netted gamblers winning seasons. The best a gambler can wish for is being right more than wrong. For Ian, being right more than wrong has come easily.

Jump to 2009. Early in the year, Ian went to work in his mom’s office, booking her psychic readings and maintaining her appointments. As he spoke to her clients on the phone, he would hear fragments of their problems and issues that required mom Micki’s psychic help. One day, because Micki’s was sick, a client needed badly to speak with Micki, but she just wasn't able to do the reading.  Ian felt badly that the client was left to themselves without the answer they desperately needed quickly. So, he offered his own psychic advice.

From that day on, the emails began coming and they haven’t stopped! Ian’s uncanny ability to give love advice was usually spot-on! Then, Micki’s customers began making what, at the time, seemed like an odd request. They asked if they could switch their reading from Micki to Ian. At first, Micki was stunned. Now that she has embraced the idea, Micki encourages Ian to use his psychic abilities to help people, just like what she has done over the years.

Those of us who have worked with Micki have known about Ian for years. The love advice, the psychic predictions that peg the outcomes of sporting events, his ability to simply know everything about people he meets. So, with our encouragement, we have formally added “our favorite son” to the roster.
